The Role:
We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Financial Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. This role includes responsibility for areas such as the general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, and the month-end close process. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate, timely financial information that supports the business.

As a Financial Accountant, you are expected to:
Oversee daily accounting operations
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations, proactively resolving discrepancies
Monitor and deliver the monthly close process in line with the group’s reporting timelines and prepare management accounts
Manage quarterly VAT returns
Prepare statutory financial statements
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated reports
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
Liaise with our tax representatives for certain tax-related matters
Take ownership of ad hoc financial tasks and projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a hands-on approach
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., leadership, operations) and external parties (e.g., auditors, advisors, banks, suppliers), ensuring clear and timely information flow
Job requirements
Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Able to prepare and present clear, accurate, and reliable financial information and reports
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under tight reporting deadlines
Proactive, independent, and hands-on, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset
